EnglishAlpha Bank Romania posted a 59% growth in assets in 2006 to 2.11 billion EUR. Customer deposits gained 49% to 823 million EUR, whereas loans to customers gained 53% to 1.1 billion EUR. Figures comply with the international financial reporting standards.
Equity stood at 30.16 million EUR, up by 1.3% year-on-year. The number of brances increased from 30 to 70, boosting the bank"s share of the non-governmental credit market to 4%. Plans are to expand the network to 300 units by end-2010 and reach 10% in market share.
